Footrope knot

Description

The footrope knot is a stopper knot that can be tied using three, four or more strands of cord. It is similar to the four strand diamond knot but easier to tie.

Use

Used to make a decorative terminal knot in bracelets, zipper pulls and other paracord projects that use multiple cords.

Tying

1. For better visibility we use cords of four different colors.
2. Tie a loose crown knot.
3. Tighten the knot a bit leaving a gap in the middle.
4. Take one of the strands (blue), pass it under the next strand (green) and up through the middle opening.
5. Do the same with 2nd strand (green). Pass it under the next strand (orange) and up through the middle opening.
6. The same with 3rd strand (orange). Under the next strand (yellow) and up through the middle.
7. The same with 4th strand (yellow).
8. Tighten the knot by pulling on all ends.
9. Remove the slack and do the final tightening.
